Graphic Exhibitions

Graphic design is certainly an independent expression in the field of plasticity. As far as I am concerned, graphic design research is one of the many research I have been conducting since 1959. Like all of my creations, graphic design has its own autonomous existence and it's not, like it is for many others, the transposition on paper of the most important works or contents that can be expressed otherwise. Instead it is about plastic problems that can and must be identified and solved strictly, only through this art. Indeed, results are achieved through the application of this art: serigraphy for the colors, mechanic lithography for the signs.

In the silk- screen printings we find different values for what concerns the color-weight. Most importantly, taking advantage of what is most peculiar of this art, it is possible to create chromatic permutations that will produce different results in different printings of the same mold, ranging from highlighting the structure to kineticism.

Looking at black and white lithography, the aim is multiplication. There is a negativization of the structures caused by a basilar sign, a line or by tension and by their development that is later set up mechanically. The same series of signs could create complex textures only if combined in a slightly different manner. I have been conducting  research on the highlight and the presentability of gradual chromatic-phenology,  which I create with the direct impression offset technique.

Like in all my work, the pieces I produce in graphic design are intended to maximize results and minimize costs, while identifying and solving the essential problems that stem from the design, the execution and the availability. Graphic design is a technical discipline that, due to its own intrinsic nature, presents the characteristics of repeatability, simplicity of material, storage transportation, diffusion and economic finance. It is the ultimate multiple, the precursor of the multiplied piece of art. An action rooted in this mean of communication and cultural solicitation has clear and inevitable social implications.
